How long is the walk?
Approximately 2.5 miles.
What is the route?
The walk travels through Stroudsburg’s Historic Hill District and returns to Courthouse Square for prizes and treats.
How do I register?
Use the Register button on this page or scan the QR code on the event flyer to sign up online.
Can I register the day of the walk?
Yes. Walk-up registrations are welcome on the day of the event. We ask each walker to raise a minimum of $20 to participate.
Do walkers receive a T-shirt?
Yes. Each walker who raises at least $20 will receive a PATHWalk T-shirt (while supplies last). T-shirts are distributed at registration.
Do I have to walk to support PATH?
No! If you can’t attend, you can still help by:

Can I form a team?
Yes! Gather friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers to walk together and raise support.
Can I bring a dog?
Yes! Friendly dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash at all times during the walk.
Is the walk stroller-friendly?
Yes. The route follows public streets and sidewalks, making it stroller-friendly for families.
Where should I park?
Parking is available in downtown Stroudsburg public parking areas and municipal lots within walking distance of Courthouse Square.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, water, and your enthusiasm for supporting a great cause!
What happens if it rains?
The PATHWalk takes place rain or shine.
Where do the funds go?
All funds raised support PATH, helping local families experiencing homelessness move toward stable housing and independence.
How can businesses or community members become sponsors?

The PATHWalk is a community fundraiser supporting Pocono Area Transitional Housing (PATH) and the women and children in Monroe County who are working to move from homelessness to stable housing and independence.
Held each spring in downtown Stroudsburg, the Karen Nickels Memorial PATHWalk brings neighbors, families, businesses, and community organizations together for a meaningful afternoon of walking, giving, and hope. Participants gather at Courthouse Square in Stroudsburg, where registration opens at 12:30 PM and the walk begins at 1:30 PM, rain or shine. The approximately 2.5-mile route winds through Stroudsburg’s historic Hill District, returning to Courthouse Square for prizes, treats, and celebration.
Everyone can take part.
You can register to walk, form a team, sponsor a walker, or participate as a virtual supporter.
Each walker who raises $20 or more receives an official PATHWalk T-shirt (while supplies last), distributed at registration. All funds raised support PATH’s mission of helping local families experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives and achieve independence.

On August 4 we celebrated Mary Sharer as the 2025 PATHwalk top individual fundraiser. Mary at 100 years young brought in $3,205. We can’t wait to see what Mary does for the 2026 PATHwalk!
